What is CTBLN:
Our Mission:

CTBLN strives to maximize employment opportunities for people with disabilities by working with businesses, governmental organizations and community service agencies in supportive and productive partnerships. Our mission is to improve recruitment and retention of qualified persons with disabilities, establish an inclusive work culture and promote the adoption of best practice initiatives.

CTBLN is a growing coalition of Connecticut employers working to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. CTBLN is an extension of the Business Leadership Network established in 1994 by the President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities (PCEPD), now The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), and is presently funded by Connect-Ability.

CTBLN is an employer-driven association of small, medium and large companies working with government organizations and community service agencies.

Together, we:
  • Assist employers in adopting proactive strategies to employ and retain people with disabilities

  • Identify and promote “Best Practices” in the employment of people with disabilities

  • Provide employers with support and cutting-edge information

  • Work toward achieving affirmative action and outreach goals

  • Confidentially answer questions about disability issues
